With profound sadness and immeasurable love, we announce the passing of Leslie Dunbar on July 26, 2026.

She is survived by the love of her life and devoted husband of 36 years, Stanley Dunbar. He was her peace, her calm, her greatest blessing, and the steady rock she leaned on through every season of life. Their love was one that people admired. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, hard work, unwavering devotion, and unconditional love.

She is also survived by her beloved daughters, Taylor Dunbar of Weatherford, Texas, and Jessica Robb and her husband, Logan, of Sudan, Texas. Her greatest pride and deepest purpose were her daughters. Every decision she made, every prayer she prayed, and every sacrifice she gave was rooted in her love for them. Nothing brought her more happiness than becoming "Sassy" to her precious granddaughter, Lenny Kate, who completely captured her heart. Her "Lil Lil" was a treasure she held close, and she often said, "God knew we needed Lenny."

She is lovingly survived by her parents, Bill and Jeannie Lewis of Del Rio, Texas; her sister, Lynne Griffith; and her brother, Blake Lewis, both of Del Rio.

To know her was to know unwavering love, fierce loyalty, and a servant's heart. Family was the center of her world, and she loved with everything she had. She would do anything for anyone, and that generosity was evident throughout every chapter of her life. As an emergency room nurse, she compassionately cared for patients during their most difficult moments. At rodeos, she was always the first to lend a helping hand. She faithfully showed up for her friends, celebrated the successes of others with genuine joy, and left everyone she met better than she found them.

While she had many passions, the ranch was always home. It was where her soul came alive. She worked hard and prayed even harder. She cherished every sunrise, every season, and every day spent on the land she loved. Her beloved bottle babies, whom she lovingly raised into lifelong pets, knew her voice and came running when she called. To them, she was their trusted shepherd.

She was happiest working in the sheep and cattle pens alongside her husband and the men who worked beside her. They respected her deeply, admired her tireless work ethic, and loved her like family. She never asked anyone to do something she wasn't willing to do herself.

She truly could do it all—and she did it with joy. Whether she was working cattle, hauling livestock down the highway, hunting coyotes, deep-sea fishing with friends, shopping on girls' trips, cheering on her daughters at rodeos, or soaking up every precious moment with Lenny Kate, she embraced life wholeheartedly. She loved sitting on the ranch patio with a lemon drop martini or an ice-cold Coors Original, with her blue heeler, Millie, at her feet, watching the sun go down after a hard day's work. She had fabulous taste, but it was always the simple things that mattered most.

She had a rare gift for making every room brighter simply by being in it. She was adventurous, fun, fearless, bold, and endlessly capable. She fit in anywhere and was loved everywhere she went. She had friends from all walks of life. She was always on the go, but she had a gift for checking in on the friends she loved and making everyone she encountered feel loved, valued, and heard. Her discernment was a gift, her intuition was always on point, her strength was unwavering, and her love was immeasurable.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing her legacy lives on—in the family she adored, the countless lives she touched, the ranch she treasured, and the example she set of how to love deeply, work tirelessly, and live life with grace and grit.

She was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of woman, and she will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered forever.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas.
