My father Larry C. Thornburg went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2023. He joins his beloved wife, Mary Thornburg, son, David Thornburg and brother, Charles. He took his last breath at home surrounded by those that love him dearly. He leaves behind his daughters Mary Wells (Hank) and Shaunda Hinton, granddaughter Jaycee, numerous great grandchildren and a large extended family which includes Eufaula Hester, Van Cormier, the Waters, Nelson, McCann, and Key families and many more. His medical, home health and hospice team (Teresa, Nancy, Hilda, Amber and Dr. Adolph) also gained a special place in his heart. Not only did they take great care of Dad but they loved him too, so thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dad never lost his wit of "one liners" which kept all of us smiling and will leave us with some amazing memories. I so enjoyed all his stories about all of his adventures, especially the ones involving his brother Charles, Billy Stoval, Allen and Dorothy Strong, Air Force Days, our softball team, golfing, hunting, fishing, the list goes on and on.

Most importantly, he was a loving husband to my mother and a loving father to my little brother and I. He will forever be in my heart.
