Lena Katherine Boykin Culbertson, Age 92, passed away on January 28, 2025 in Del Rio, Tx. A longtime resident of Del Rio, Katherine was born November 5, 1932 in Sabinal, Texas. While living in Uvalde, she met John Roy Culbertson and they were married February 5, 1955. After working for Eagle Pass Chevy as an accountant for eight years Katherine and Roy moved to Del Rio to start a pump and well business. Katherine continued working as an accountant for James Hardin CPA, then Brown Chevy before moving to Brown Automotive, where she retired. During this time in Del Rio, she also ran the office for Roy's pump business.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Roy, as well as six brothers and sisters. Katherine is survived by son Gay Roy Culbertson (Patricia) of Del Rio, daughter Erin Kay Seal (James) of Cloudcroft, New Mexico; grandchildren Cassie Rhodes (Taylor) of College Station, Tx., Ashley Amanda Kaminsky (Lance) of San Antonio, Tx., Clayton Trevor Whitney (Paige) of San Antonio, Tx., and Clint Garrett Seal of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Great grandchildren include Rylee Campbell of Rio Vista, Tx., Avery and Makayla Kaminsky of San Antonio, Tx., Wallace and Winnie Whitney of San Antonio, Tx.

Katherine was a loving wife and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a successful business woman and a great friend to many. She will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
