Karlyn Serane Ramirez, age 24, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Severn, Maryland. Karlyn was born April 10, 1991 in Beeville, Texas and grew up in Del Rio, Texas where she attended Comstock High School graduating in 2009. Growing up in Del Rio Karyln took full advantage of the out-doors by sharing her father's passion in rodeo, bull riding, deer hunting and the raising of game roosters. She was also an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. At the age of 21, Karlyn entered into the U.S. Army and was stationed in South Korea for her first year. Karlyn was known by many as a free sprit training, competing and winning tournaments in Mixed-Martial Arts. In 2014 Karlyn was assigned to the 70th Military Intelligence Brigade and the 742nd Military Battalion HOC at Fort Mead. As a soldier, she traveled the world and had many great experiences, but, none more cherished than in 2015 when Karlyn married Maliek Kearney a MSGT. in the U.S. Army and together they had Kattaleya Vale Kearney. Karlyn loved being a first time mommy and was often seen singing to her baby gasping in a mother's love for a daughter. Karlyn always wore a smile and carried the teaching of her parents Jesus (Chuy) and Susan Ramirez everywhere she went. An Army honor guard made up of her peers will be rendering complete military honors. Please join us in giving Karlyn a dignified Del Rio farewell. Karlyn left many people who will carry her smile forever, starting with her Husband Maliek Kearney, Daughter; Kattaleya Vale Kearny, Parents; Jesus (Chuy) and Susan Ramirez, Brothers; Jesus Ramirez Jr. and Jesus David Ramirez, Sisters; Laura Torres and Roxanna Ramirez, Grandparents; Ignacio and Lilia Garcia and Oralia Ramirez, Aunt; Guadalupe Ramirez, Maria Isabel Garcia, and Cynthia Ann Garcia Leggett. Karlyn is preceded in death by her Sister: Grace Penelope Ramirez, Grandfather: David Ramirez Sr., Uncle: David Ramirez Jr. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel of Remembrance from 6-9PM. A recitation of the Holy Rosary officiated by Deacon Sanchez will be observed at 7PM. On Thursday, September 3, 2015 10:00AM a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 307 East Losoya Street with his most holy Father Pius Ezeigbo officiating with Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
