Julio R. Villarreal, age 74, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his residence here in New Braunfels. He was born April 12, 1941 in New Braunfels to Mariano Villarreal and Elisa Renteria Villarreal. He enjoyed playing pool and watching sports with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gregorio, Marcello and Rito Villarreal, a sister Amelia Zamora; his children Julio Villarreal, Jr., Chris Villarreal and Yvonne Villarreal; He is survived by his daughters Teresa Villarreal and Rosalinda Zapata and her husband Raul; brother Eusebio Villarreal and his wife Leticia; sisters Josie Hernandez, Felicitas Villarreal, Alice Trinidad and her husband Juan, Connie Gonzales and her husband Ramon; grandson Izack Xavier Villarreal and his fiancé Vanessa Torres; great-granddaughter Natalie Sylvia; special friends Kono, Tony and Sylvia along with numerous other friends and relatives. Public visitation will be held Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church located at 245 S. Hidalgo Ave. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM. Public visitation continues Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 9 AM until 9:45 Am at Holy Family Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM with Rev. Ralainirina F. Rakotovoavy, MSF. Interment will follow in the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery #1. Serving as pallbearers will be Izack Xavier Villarreal, Greg Villarreal, Ramon Gonzales, Anthony Villarreal, George Yanas and Adrian Gonzales.
