Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido padre, Julio César Salazar, quien partió en paz el día 1° de noviembre de 2024, a los 78 años, en San Antonio, TX. Julio nació el 12 de marzo de 1946 en Lima, Perú. Llegó a México en 1978 y, posteriormente, a Estados Unidos en 1998. Julio solía decir que llevaba a Perú en sus documentos, a México en su corazón, y a Estados Unidos en su billetera.

Le precedió en la muerte su abuela materna, Victoria Cáceres Larrea.

Su memoria será honrada por su amada esposa, Carmen Masse Salazar; sus hijos, Julio César y Luis Ángel; sus nueras, Thelma y Adriana; sus nietos, Nicolás, Ariana, Luis Ángel, Juliana, Julio, Alan; así como por demás familiares y amigos.

Lo extrañaremos profundamente porque siempre se esforzó por ser un gran ser humano: porque amó con respeto y empatía; porque fue valiente, luchador, inteligente, incansable, talentoso, emprendedor, generoso, trabajador, de alma humilde, honesto y fuerte. Porque fue el mejor esposo, padre, suegro, abuelo, compañero y amigo. Su presencia complementó nuestros días y fue una gran bendición en nuestras vidas.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 7 de noviembre de 2024 de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes 8 de noviembre de 2024 a las 11:00 a. m. en la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días en 1315 Kings Way, Del Rio, Texas.

El entierro seguirá en el cemeterio Sunset Memorial Oaks.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Julio César Salazar, who passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, at the age of 78, in San Antonio, TX. Julio was born on March 12, 1946 in Lima, Peru. He arrived in Mexico in 1978 and, later, in the United States in 1998. Julio used to say that he carried Peru in his documents, Mexico in his heart, and the United States in his wallet.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Victoria Cáceres Larrea.

His memory will be honored by his loving wife, Carmen Masse Salazar; his sons, Julio César and Luis Ángel; his daughters-in-law, Thelma and Adriana; his grandchildren, Nicolás, Ariana, Luis Ángel, Juliana, Julio, Alan; as well as other family and friends.

We will miss him deeply because he always strived to be a great human being: because he loved with respect and empathy; because he was brave, a fighter, intelligent, tireless, talented, enterprising, generous, hardworking, with a humble soul, honest and strong. Because he was the best husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, companion and friend. His presence complemented our days and was a great blessing in our lives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints at 1315 Kings Way, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
