Joyce Brown-Suiter age 74, went home to her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home on June 21, 2014 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on May 2, 1940 on a Thursday in Aberdeen, Scotland. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to England. She is a World War II (WW II) survivor of the "The Blitz" between September 7, 1940 and May 21, 1941 there were major aerial raids on 16 British cities-over a period of 267 days (almost 37 weeks). She is preceded in death by her daughter Vanessa Suiter Heller, Parents Norman Edwin Debnam and Isabella Young Debnam, Brother Norman E. Debnam and Sister Sandy Debnam Baker. In 1957 she married an American soldier Augustus David Suiter and lived the life of a typical military family. In 1972 the family settled in Del Rio, Texas. She was employed by the Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) and retired in the 90's as manger of the Laughlin Air Force Base Shoppette. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Shiralee Suiter and grandson Blake Suiter of Del Rio, Texas. Grandson Matthew W. Heller and wife Rachel Perales Heller, son Dylan Mattheo Heller great-grandson and daughter Madison Rachelle Heller great-granddaughter stationed at Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany. Sister Shelia Debnam Hudson of Watford, England. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, Baker Family, New Family from England and Spring Family from New York. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 10:00 AM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Fr. John Fritts officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
