Joy Renee Burrow (Barnett)August 4, 1956 – April 30, 2025Joy Renee Burrow, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 4, 1956, Joy had a sharp wit, a strong presence, and never sugarcoated anything, she brought laughter, honesty, and a fierce love into the lives of those around her.Joy spent much of her life in Houston, Texas, though she most recently resided in Canyon Lake with her son. A lifelong professional in multifamily real estate, Joy held positions across Texas, Michigan, Atlanta, and Florida. Her dedication and work ethic earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout the industry.Joy was known for her infectious sense of humor and uncanny luck, especially when it came to bingo and gambling, two of her favorite pastimes. In her younger years, she loved to travel with her mother, BJ, especially to Italy, where they made some of their most cherished memories together. Anyone who knew her understood how passionate she was about cooking and entertaining; her home, growing up, was often filled with the warmth of homemade meals and laughter shared with family and friends.She is survived by her three children: Felicia Coker, and her children Andrew (AJ), Addison, and Amie; Sabrina Burrow, and her children Hailey, Blakley, and Rylee; and Bradely Burrow, and his son Bradyn, her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sister, Sherrie McQuistion, niece, Heather Phillips, and her former husband, Norman Burrow. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Barnett and her mother, BJ Williams, and brother, Tony Barnett.Joy's legacy lives on in the love she gave, the joy she spread, and the family she created. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.A celebration of Joy's life will be held in honor of her vibrant spirit; the family will provide details once confirmed.
