Jose Delgado Tovar, age 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on July 12, 1942 in Del Rio, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Rosa L. Tovar, his parents Apolonio and Inez Tovar, his sisters Alicia Lopez and Dolores Martinez, brothers Raul Tovar, Apolonio Tovar, Jr., Jesus Tovar, Francisco Tovar, and Patricio Tovar.

He is survived by his daughters Letty Tovar (Jerry), Vanessa Rodriguez (Vidal), Kathy Flores (Segundo), his brother Alfredo Tovar (Becky) and sister Amelia Viella, 7 grandkids, Danny Dominguez (Lizbeth), Jaime Dominguez (Elizabeth), Juan Veliz, Jr. (Monica), Sabrina Veliz (Steven), Jose Veliz (Bianca), Olivia Pereyda (Chris) and Monica, 22 great-grandkids, and 2 great-great grandkids.

A visitation will  be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Homes, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas,

Funeral services will conclude after the visitation.
