Jose Rodriguez Jr., age 101, entered into rest Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on February 3, 1921, in Del Rio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Luisa Rodriguez, and his parents, Jose and Maria del Refugio Rodriguez. Daughter Santa Venegas and son in laws, Arturo Venegas and Alejandro Arizpe. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sylvia (John) Mata, Sonia Arizpe, Cuqui (Jose) Carreño, Gustavo (Hilda) Rodriguez and Jose Luis (Gloria) Rodriguez. 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2022, 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary 5:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gentlemen with the honor of pallbearers; Abram Mata, Arturo Venegas, Alejandro Arizpe, Jr., Gustavo Rodriguez, Jr., Jose Carreño, Ricky Carreño and Jose Luis Rodriguez, Jr., Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
