Jose Meza Jr " Pepe " long time resident of Del Rio passed away peacefully in his sleep Nov. 19, 2025 surrounded by family. Jose proudly served for over 30 years as a school bus driver for the S.F.D.R.C.I.S.D. Transportation Department. Jose was a one of a kind father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, always bringing smiles and good times to all that he crossed paths with. Jose will be greatly missed.

Welcoming Jose in heaven is his Father, Jose T. Meza, brothers, Ricardo Meza and Juan M. Meza. Left on earth to cherish Jose's memory are his two sons, Jose III and Gerardo Meza. Also left to cherish Jose's memory is his loving mother Maria Elena Naranjo, brother Gerardo Meza, sisters, Gloria Paredes, Maria Garcia and Donna Levario. Also left to cherish Jose's memory are his grandchildren which he loved and cared for with all his heart, Joe Ryan Meza, Jannali Meza and Jakayla Meza also daughter-n-law Sonia Meza.

Special thanks to WURZBACH NURSING AND REHAB AND NURSE DESERE for such great care and everyone in the facility also there at the Therapy Dept. And also special thanks to FRONTLINE MEDICAL TRANSPORTS for going above and beyond with their specialized medical transportation services during Jose's time of need.
