Jose "Felix" Meraz, age 46, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in at his residence in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born February 1, 1969 in El Paso, Texas to Juan Meraz, Sr. and Evarista Perales Meraz. He married Veronica Cruz on June 19, 2014 in Schertz, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, three brothers Miguel, Jesus and Juan Meraz, Jr. Jose was a talented boxer during the 80's and participated in the Golden Gloves. He is survived by his wife Veronica C. Meraz; his children Annaliza Meraz and Noah Miguel Meraz; his father Juan Meraz, Sr.; two brothers David and Javier Meraz plus several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 beginning at 8:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 245 S. Hidalgo Ave. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by Rev. Ralainirina F. Rakotovoavy, MSF. Pallbearers will be Javier Meraz, Jr., Emilio Meraz, Joe Tristan, Gabriel Diaz, Anthony Torres and Emi Silguero. Honorary will be his son Noah Meraz. Services will conclude after funeral mass.
