Obituary

Jose Manuel Herrera Sr., age 52, entered into rest November 12, 2006 in Del Rio,Texas. He was born on August 29, 1954. Jose Graduated from Bell High School in 1972. He served a tour with the United States Marine Corp. in 1973. Jose Herrera attended East L.A. College and Southwest Texas Junior College where he received an Associate of Applied Science. Jose worked as a Tool and Parts Attendant for the T38 Branch at Laughlin Air Force Base for over 30 years. A member of the American Legion and The Honor Guard, Jose was an avid Motorcycle enthusiast who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with many friends and family. Jose Herrera is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Policarpio and Mrs. Apolonia Herrera. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 30 years Elizabeth Herrera, Son Jose M. Herrera Jr. and daughter Lourina Guajardo (Ray). Brother-In-Laws; Ronnie and Robert Hernandez, Sister-In-Law; Veronica Hernandez, Mother-In-Law;Bertha Gonzales, Cousins; Manuel, Manny Lupe, Carmen, and Janie Herrera. Jose Herrera is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Thursday November 16, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in the Chapel of Remembrance, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM a mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 17, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe at 12:00 PM.
