Jose G. Garcia, age 93, entered into rest on Monday, June 1, 2015 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born May 9, 1922 in Del Rio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Hipolito and Petra Garcia. Wife Emma F. Garcia and 5-brothers and sisters. He served in the United States Army-Air Force. He was also a veteran of World War II. He retired from Texas Department of Transportation after 43 years of dedicated service. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Elia G. Perez and husband Ruperto O. Perez, and Bilma G. Uranga and husband Joe Louis Uranga. Also survived by 4-grandchildren and 7-great-grandchildren and 1-great-great grandchild. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5:00PM-9:00PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #595 Honor Guard.
