Jose B. " Chema" Salas February 12, 1920 May 29, 2013 Jose Barrera " Chema" Salas age 93, entered into rest on May 29, 2013 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born February 12, 1920 in Del Rio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon C. and Julia B. Salas. Brothers Gilberto B. Salas and Rafael B. Salas. Sisters Elenor S. Chacon, Aracely S. Torres, Beatrice S. Ramirez, Alicia S. Frausto and Rebecca S. Huizar. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 69 years Juanita Guanajuato Salas. Sons Rafael G. Salas and wife Marcela, Ramon Salas and wife Elsa, Ricardo Salas, Jesse Salas and wife Letty, Jose Salas Jr. Daughters Rosa Maria S. Ybarra and husband Felis, Maria Elena S. Zuniga and husband Hector, Maria Guadalupe Santos and husband Oscar. Twenty six grandchildren and thirty nine great-grandchildren. Gentlemen with the honor of Pallbearers: Hector Zuniga, Alex Salas, Gabriel Santos, Ruben Luna, Michael Montemayor and David Salas. Honorary Pallbearers: Raymond Salas, Jesse Salas, Ralph Salas and Richard Salas. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary 7:00pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 10:00am, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
