Jose Antonio Sanchez, lovingly known as Tonio by many, passed away in Del Rio, TX, on September 1, 2026, at age 60. Tonio was born on October 22, 1965, to Adela Alicia Sanchez and Frank D. Sanchez. He loved cracking jokes, spending time with his many friends, a good BBQ, his dogs, riding his golf cart with his beloved partner Linda, and, most of all, his family.

Tonio is preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by his siblings: Nat Terrazas and wife Devon Terraza, Mary Alice Salazar and husband Manuel Salazar, Patricia Hernandez and husband Victor Hernandez, and Maria Woodson and fiancé Joe Avila; his children: Jessica Sanchez and grandson, and Joe Anthony Sanchez and wife Tiffani Sanchez; along with five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Tonio will be dearly missed by all those who loved him and will be remembered fondly for his laid-back approach to life.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Kinney County Cemetery in Brackettville, Texas.
