Jose M. "Joe" Anguiano, Passed in peace on September 03, 2018 to be with our Heavenly father. Jose "JOE," as he was better lovingly known by his closest friends and family, was born October 9, 1935 in Del Rio, TX. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Paula Martinez (mother) Jose E. Anguiano (father) and Elias De Leon (brother). Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, of 59 years, Jeannette Anguiano, daughter Yolanda A. Payne (Noe), grandchildren Joseph Frescas, Bruce Flowers Jr., Alexander Arneson, Eric Arneson, Matthew E. Payne and six greatgrandchildren. Siblings include Tina Greer (Delbert), Alvin Anguiano (Margie), Armando Anguiano (Shelby), Arcila Clements (Ken), Angelo Anguiano (Anna), Artemio Anguiano (Jan), Estella Diaz, Elvia Sanchez (Gilbert), Hermina Gonzalez (Frank), Eva Villa, Timotea Gutierrez (Luz), Guadalupe Zamora (Juan Carlos) and Leonor Garza (Oscar). Joe was raised in San Francisco, CA, and lived in San Jose, CA until his retirement in 1985 and moved back to Del Rio, TX . Here, along with his loving wife, he acquired "Skate Junction" from 1985-2005 providing many of the youth of Del Rio with a stable place of employment and entertainment for many years. Joe during this time was highly regarded as a "father figure" by many of the youth, in which he influenced many of them, showing them drive, responsibility, perseverance, honor, respect, but most of all "how much he really cared." Joe was also well known throughout the surrounding communities because of his weekly publication of "The Mike's Shopper." He is now resting in the arms of our Lord and will be deeply missed by so many, friends and family alike, but will always be in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, 5:00pm-9:00pm, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, 10:00am, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with Pastor Arnold Menchaca, officiating. Services conclude after Chapel Service.
