Johnnie Lea (‘Punky”) Eden

September 22, 1939 – September 2, 2026

Johnnie Lea (Punky) Eden passed away on September 2, 2026, just a few days shy of her 87th birthday. Punky was a woman of deep Catholic faith whose life was centered around the people she loved the most -family and friends.

She was a devoted mother to her three sons, Trace and his wife Susan; Wayne and his wife Audrey: and Todd. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved them deeply and faithfully throughout her life. Especially her granddaughters Allison and Erin

Punky held a special place in her heart for her years working as a secretary at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy in Corpus Christi. She loved her job, but more importantly the children she cared for every day. These covered generations. They brought her happiness for many years, almost 47.

Her Catholic faith was a devotion which dictated how she lived. It gave her strength throughout life and comfort in knowing this earthly life was not the end, but the beginning of her eternal life with God and Family.

Friends will remember her for her love of family, her devotion to her faith, and the special caring she had for them.

Punky leaves behind a family who loved her dearly and a lifetime of memories

May she rest in eternal piece, surrounded by family, and the love and grace of God.
