It is with great sadness that our beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and friend, John Herbert, entered the gates of Heaven on May 4, 2021 in New Braunfels, Tx at the young age of 37. John was born on February 12, 1984 in Johnson City, New York to Arthur and Jean Herbert. John is survived by his wife and best friend Tammi of 11 years, his daughter Mikala (12 years), son Zaine (10 years), 2 dogs Maui and Rodi (4 years), mother Jean, grandmother May, brother Patrick, niece Alana, and many extended family and friends. John lived his years as a quiet man with many words and lots of knowledge. He was very passionate and loving. He loved serving in the military. John served honorably 6 years in the U.S. Army, 2 years in the U.S. Army National Guard, and 4 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He then went on to work as a Database Administrator. There were many hobbies that John loved, such as building furniture for his family and friends, making bread, gaming, gardening and composting and even teaching people about gardening and composting. However, most importantly, he LOVED his family. John will be greatly missed by many.
