Jessie Lea Hankins Gilmer, 77, passed away on Friday morning, February 23, 2007 in El Paso, Texas. She was born in Rocksprings,Texas and graduated with a Bachelor"�s degree from Southern Methodist University. She lived in El Paso for over 48 years and taught school at Zavala and Wainwright Elementary for 36 years before retiring from EPISD. Her survivors are her son, Jess Gilmer, daughter-in-law Betsy Gilmer, 3 special grandsons, JJ, Jeremy, and Jonathan Gilmer, as well as her four-legged companions Kiki, Honiko, Scoshi, and Yoyo. Visitation will be on Monday, February 26, 2007 from 5-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home- Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in Rocksprings, Texas .
