Jerry T. Hames, age 87, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on August 21, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry Thomas Hames and Fanie Carter; his siblings Nancy, Verna, and Richard Hames.

Left to cherish her memory is his wife Esperanza G. Hames; daughter Jessica A. Valdez and her husband Jose A. Valdez; his son Jerry T. Hames, II and his wife Amanda Hames; grandchildren Alexander Valdez and wife Taylor De Leon, Jose Valdez and his wife Bella Valdez, Jacob Valdez; great-grandchildren Lilliana Valdez and Mia Valdez.
