Jay Lee Nunley, age 58, entered into rest on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on June 24, 1966.

Jay graduated from Del Rio High School in 1985 and 1 year later in 1986 joined the US Navy. He served 4 yrs. aboard the USS Tarawa. After his duty to his country, he continued with serving in the Navy Reserve. While attending and graduating from the University of Texas-San Antonio, he worked in the SAISD. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, Tx. He returned to Del Rio, Tx and most recently was employed by the SFDRISD.

He was preceded in death by his Grand-Mother Jo Nell Nunley and her husband Grand-Father Joe G Nunley II; Aunt Ardie Mae Kibbett and her husband Uncle Robert D Kibbett; Aunt Ola Ruth Tadlock; Uncle Joe G (Papa) Nunley III; Uncle Robert L (Rusty) Nunley; Uncle Frank Evans.

He is survived by his Mother Ida Ruth Nunley of Del Rio, Tx; Aunt Jacqueline Evans of San Antonio, Tx; Sister Tressa Nunley of San Antonio, Tx; Brothers Michael Nunley of Dallas, Tx and James Nunley of Sacramento, Ca; and his numerous cousins.

The family acknowledges and gives thanks for the outpour from his numerous friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home
