With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved mother, Irma Herrera, who went to be with the Lord after having lived 76 beautiful years of life.

Our mom was one of a kind—full of life, humor, and a spirit that lit up every room she entered. She loved going to the casino, where the joy of the game and the thrill of possibility brought her endless delight. She also had a deep love for good food, whether it was a favorite family recipe or a new dish she insisted everyone try at least once. Her laughter around the dinner table and her stories during long nights will never be forgotten.

She was more than just our mother—she was a friend, a listener, a source of comfort, and often the first one to offer seconds at dinner. Her warmth and wit touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her three children George Herrera (spouse Rosalinda Herrera), Mary Hernandez (spouse Michael Hernandez) and Abraham Herrera (spouse Laura Herrera); and her seven grandchildren, Georgina, Jorge, Aaron, Italia, Luke, Valeria and Mariela, who will carry forward her love and the many traditions she cherished.

We will miss her dearly, but her memory, laughter, and love will always be with us.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM; recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The mass of christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 510 Wernett St., Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
