Irene Sanchez Cruz went to be with Our Lord and Savior on April 18th, 2025. Irene was born of her parents Delfino and Nasaria Sanchez in Gruene, TX on July 28, 1945. She is survived by her brother Bonefacio Sanchez and sister Aurelia Benevidez, her children; Adrian Vasquez, Lorenzo Cruz, Maria Guerrero and Sonia Cruz. Her Grandchildren; Mariah Vasquez, Arrick A.N. Vasquez, Isaiah Vasquez, Valeriano Cruz, Anicia R.S Vasquez, Ignacio Guerrero, Marco Guerrero, Vaelen Hector Ramirez, Jewlysa Guerrero and Alexander Carson Cruz Irene loved spending time with all her family and especially loved being around her grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially her daily walks in the spring when the birds were chirping and when the squirrels would feed. She loved watching sports, watching the San Antonio Spurs and of course her favorite, The Dallas Cowboys. Irene was delighted in meeting new people and made sure they were taken care of. Her kindness and love spread amongst many friends and family. In her last years she spent her days living at Cypress Healthcare and Rehabilitation where she was visited daily by her children, grandchildren, friends and family. Irene will be forever missed beyond her family as she cared and touched so many lives of so many friends.
