Henry James Young Mills III entered into the Grace of Eternity on October 25, 2025. He was born November 18th, 1935 and was 89 years old.

Henry spent his life outdoors, which he loved. A hands-on rancher, Henry was recognized for his leadership and support of agriculture as a member of many boards and committees on the local, state and international levels.

Henry was a man of God and lived his life in closeness to his beliefs, having been a member of the First United Methodist Church his entire life. He was a man of friendship with his friends knowing his loyalty was lasting and irrevocable. His humor and true enjoyment of life were always apparent to friends and anyone he encountered.

Henry's well-lived life will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Maxine Rank Mills, whom he met while attending Trinity University in San Antonio. He earned a degree in Business Administration, married Maxine and moved back to Del Rio. Here, he ranched with his father and worked at Producers Wool and Mohair. Other survivors include his sister, Kay Mills Cauthorn; his nephew's Sid Cauthorn and wife Kim; Guy Cauthorn and wife Keri and numerous other great nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Josephine Mills and his brother-in-law, Bill Cauthorn.

Honorary Pallbearers are Tuffy Whitehead, Bill Lewis, Alton Everett, Jim Perry, Rusty Sewalt, Wayne Brown and Bill Higgins.

The family would like to thank Sef Gomez and all the staff at Southwest Assisted Living for the care and respect they paid to Henry for his entire time there.

A visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Sunday, November 2nd at 2:00 PM in the House of Friendship, immediately followed by the memorial service at 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church led by Reverend Carl Rohlfs.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry's memory may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project or St Jude's Children's Hospital.
