He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ana Maria Athayde, sons, Hector Athayde and wife Eva, Sergio M. Athayde and wife Lorena, Horacio Athayde and wife Esperanza, daughters, Elva Mireles and husband Juan Jose, Diana Robinson and husband James, sisters, Estela Athayde, Anita Athayde, Rosalba Athayde, Rosa Maria Athayde, Refugio Athayde, 14 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, June 30, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance with a recitation of a rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph"�s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
