Con profundo dolor y tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida madre, Guadalupe Rivas, de 93 años de edad. Falleció el Sábado 15 de Agosto del 2026 en Brackettville, TX rodeada de su amada familia.

Le precedieron en la muerte su esposo Luis Rivas, hijos Armando Rivas y Luis Rivas Jr, sus padres Rosa Martínez y Juan Madrid. Su hermano Reyes Hernández y hermana Rosa Hernandez.

Le sobreviven sus hijas Consuelo Serrano (José Luis ✝️), Juanita Serrano (Pedro), y Esperanza Rivas. Sus hermanos Manuel Hernández, María Magdalena Rivas, Consuelo Godina, Emma Balderas, y Crispín Hernández Jr. Sus nietos, bisnietos, y tataranietos quienes siempre recordaran su gran corazón, su alegría, y su amor incondicional; y sus nueras Margarita Rivas Ramirez y Margarita De Leon Rivas.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el domingo 23 de agosto de 2026, de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., en la Iglesia Católica St. Mary Magdalene, ubicada en 301 N. Ann St., Brackettville, Texas.

El velorio continuará el lunes 24 de agosto de 2026 a las 8:30 a. m., seguido de una misa a las 10:00 a. m. en la misma iglesia (St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 301 N. Ann St., Brackettville, Texas).

El sepelio tendrá lugar en el Cementerio Católico St. Mary Magdalene, en Brackettville, Texas.

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Guadalupe Rivas, at the age of 93. She passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Brackettville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Rivas; her sons, Armando Rivas and Luis Rivas Jr.; her parents, Rosa Martínez and Juan Madrid; and her siblings, Reyes Hernández and Rosa Hernández.

She is survived by her daughters, Consuelo Serrano (José Luis ✝️), Juanita Serrano (Pedro), and Esperanza Rivas; her siblings, Manuel Hernández, María Magdalena Rivas, Consuelo Godina, Emma Balderas, and Crispín Hernández Jr.; and her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will always remember her big heart, her joy, and her unconditional love; and her daughter-in-laws Margarita Rivas Ramirez and Margarita De Leon Rivas.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 301 N. Ann St. Brackettville, Texas.

The visitation will continue on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 8:30 AM, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 301 N. Ann St., Brackettville, Texas.

The interment will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery, Brackettville, Texas.
