Greg was born in Philadelpia, PA to Grace Nesbitt Costello and Frank Costello on January 17, 1947. He was raised in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and California by his mom and Paul Douglas Clouthier, whom his mother married when Greg was a toddler. Greg had fond memories of his youth and sunny days at San Diego beaches with his big sister, Linda, before moving to San Ramon where he attended San Ramon Valley High School and joined the US Army at age 17.

The first time Greg laid eyes on Ann Eriksen in Spring 1973, he knew she was "the one." They wed on March 16, 1974 and shared 52 beautiful years of marriage, raising their two children, Bobby and Emily in Walnut Creek. With Ann's support, Greg owned and operated Clouthier Investigations as a licensed private investigator for over 30 years. When he wasn't working, he was doing what he loved most: spending time with his family or playing basketball at the Big C Athletic Club in Concord. Road trips through New England, beach days in San Clemente, and traveling through England and Scotland with Ann, Bobby, and Emily were some of Greg's most beloved adventures and memories.

Greg passed away at home in New Braunfels, Texas, with his loving wife, Ann, by his side.

He is preceded in death by his wonderful parents and his beloved son, Bobby.

He is survived by Ann and his children: Wendy Renslow, Sean Clouthier, Emily Piña, son-in-law Joseph Piña, as well as his grandchildren, Robyn Renslow Anctil, Christopher Clouthier, Daniel Piña, and Julia Piña; and his sister, Linda Roessing.

Greg had a soft spot for animals and veterans. If you are inclined to do so, we ask for donations in Greg's memory to be made to your local Humane Society, ASPCA, animal rescue, or the Wounded Warriors Project.

Services will be held in San Diego this Summer.
