Gloria Flores Gomez died peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends on Monday, February 12th, 2024 in Del Rio, Texas at the age of 84.

She is preceded in death by parents Julio G. Flores and Concepcion Dominguez. In laws Mateo O. & Concepcion R Gomez. As well as brothers Homero D. Flores and Jesus D. Flores from Del Rio, Texas.

Gloria was born on April 21, 1939 in Muzquiz, Coah. Mexico to Julio Flores and Concepcion Dominguez.

She married her sweetheart Ernesto R. Gomez and the couple welcomed 5 children into their home.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Ernesto R. Gomez of Del Rio, Texas, her children SolMaria DeMarco from Austin, Tx., Heriberto F Gomez (wife Rebecca) from San Angelo, Tx., David F Gomez (wife Sally) Del Rio Tx., Ricardo F Gomez( wife Susana)Del Rio, Tx and Gloria Yvette Gomez Rocha (husband Juan Manuel Jr) from San Antonio, Tx. She has 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Julio C. Flores and her sister Zulema F. Garza

Her children remember her as a devoted wife and loving, caring, kind mother that encouraged them to be themselves and pursue their goals.

Pallbearers include her grandchildren: Heriberto F Gomez Jr, David F Gomez Jr, Aaron Matthew Gomez, Adrian G Rocha, Juan Manuel Rocha III, Susie Ann Gomez; Honorary Pallbearer CPT Gloria Alicia Freck.

Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in heaven, surrounded by angels. Her passion, kindness, goodness, devotion and her awesome "migas and "enchiladas" to her husband and family will always be remembered.
