In Loving Memory of Our Mom, Gina Renee Martinez

Gina Renee Watkins Martinez, age 64, entered into rest on September 2, 2026, in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on November 7, 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Joyce Watkins, and her brother, Ralph Daniel Watkins.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Justin & Candice Martinez, Vanessa & Everett Quintana; her life partner, Bob Lynde, and his children, Clint & Bambi Lynde, and Kevin Lynde; and her beloved grandchildren, Eli Quintana, Callie Martinez, Charlie Martinez, Jax Martinez, Jett Martinez, and Shelby Lynde & Steven Lynde.

Our mom, Gina Renee Martinez, was truly one of a kind. For many years, she was a local beautician here in Del Rio, but to so many of the people who sat in her chair, she became much more than that. She was a friend, a listening ear, someone to laugh with, and someone who genuinely cared. Our mom loved people and she was blessed to be loved by so many people in return. But as much as she loved her community, nothing meant more to our mom than her family. 

We were blessed to call her Mom, but her favorite title was “GG” (Gorgeous Grandma). Her five grandbabies were her entire world. There wasn't much she wouldn't do for them. Even when her health made things difficult, she refused to let distance keep her away. She would travel more than 1,000 miles several times a year just to spend time with her grandkids, making memories and reminding them how much their GG loved them. 

That was our mom. She loved with everything she had. 

Her passing leaves an emptiness that words simply cannot describe, not only for us, but for her grandchildren, her loved ones, her friends, and Bob Lynde, who loved her dearly and shared an important part of her life during her final years. 

We will miss her laugh, her strength, her beauty, and the love she gave so freely. Most of all, we will simply miss our Mom. 

We love you, Mama. Your grandbabies will always know how much their GG loved them, and we will make sure your memory lives on through all of us. 

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Mom. Forever their GG.
