Gilberto L. Robledo, 90, of Brackettville, TX, passed away on March 21, 2023, after a long, beautiful life. Gilberto was born on March 21, 1933, to Francisco Robledo and Santos Leija in Villa Union, Coahuila. Gilberto was fiercely passionate about cowboying and dedicated his life to both working and his family.

In 1956, Gilberto met his wife, Evangelina and went on to have five beautiful children. Gilberto put family first, always, and was a dedicated father and husband.

Gilberto was a force of nature, determined to provide for his wonderful family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his family and always tried his best to support them.

Anyone who knew Gilberto knew that he was the most hardworking and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather a family could ask for. His love and guidance were the foundation of his family. He was well known in his community and always had a joke to tell. He will truly be missed my many.

Gilberto was predeceased by father, Francisco Robledo, mother, Santos Robledo, brother, Juan Robledo, sister, Genia Coronado and wife, Evangelina Robledo.

He is survived by his children, Jose and Diama Robledo, Maria and Juan Rivas, Victor and Doris Robledo, Ana and Gilbert Gallegos, Enedelia Mendoza,15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Brackettville Sunset Funeral Home. Visitation will be March 23, 2023, 4:00-8:00p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home (302 E Spring St. Brackettville, TX). There will be a mass service on March 24, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church (301 S Ann St.), followed by funeral services at St. Mary's Cemetery.
