Genoveva Luevanos, age 80, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on June 7, 1946 in Cd. Acuña Coahuila, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandro Mendez and Faustina Alcorta; and her husband, Ruben Luevanos Sr.

She is survived by her children, Hortencia (Dionisio) Zavala, Leticia (Martin) Alvarez, Celia (Juan) Garcia, Norma (Manuel) Garcia, and Ruben (Erica) Luevanos.

The visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The visitation continues Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave, Del Rio, Texas.

The interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 Hwy 90 East, Del Rio, Texas.
