On August 3, 2010, Frances Cuevas passed away with her loving family at her side, after a very courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Frances is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 33 years Roberto Cuevas, Jr. She was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila where she spent a majority of her youth. On April 28, 1973, she married Roberto Jr. and moved to Del Rio where they made it their permanent home. Here she had three daughters. Frances was the back bone of her family. She lived a life of many accomplishments that made her daughters very proud. She was a beautiful person throughout and with just her smile, she brought love and comfort. She was what her daughters believe was a truly precious mother. She was a strong-willed person and she had a creative nature that could make anything stand out and be beautiful. It is with great pride that she instilled in them the values and morals to be good people here on earth. She proved to be an extraordinary example for her daughters to understand the meaning of patience and support for their children. She continued to nurture for her six grandchildren. The love for her family had no boundaries. Survivors are her daughters, Cynthia Wazana, husband Alain; Sylvia Cuevas, and Sandra Trevi�o, husband Lalo, Jr.; her grandkids Orly Wazana, Ariel Wazana, Nathan Rubio, Victoria Trevi�o, and Michael Trevi�o; her sister Minerva Chavez, husband Rodolfo, and her brother Jesus Hernandez, wife Carmela. We love you mom. Rest in peace. Visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2010, 5:00PM-9:00PM, Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, Chapel of Remembrance. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will start at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fr. Sady Santana officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
