Florinda Cuellar, age 98, entered into rest on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on July 6, 1924.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Filomeno Sr. and Florinda A. Salazar.  Her husband Federico Cuellar, brothers; Elizardo Salazar, Jose (Elvia) Salazar, Filomeno Jr. (Pura) Salazar, and Manuel (Maria Del Carmen) Salazar, Niece; Pura Salazar.  She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Florinda had an outgoing and funny personality, she was always grateful for the people in her life.  She always cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her very own children.  Florinda was very free spirited, and faithful servant to her God and those around her, she was involved in her parish in her early years.  Florida was an advocate for all residents of Del Rio Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The family of Florinda Cuellar would like to thank the Del Rio Nursing and Rehabilitation Center nurses and staff for the love and compassion they always showed for her.

Pallbearers will be; Alejandro Salazar, Richard Salazar, Cruz Salazar, Sammy Jo Salazar, Timothy Strucely and Martin V. Garcia.  Honorary pallbearers; St. Joseph's Catholic Church Asociacion del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM; recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
