Msgt. Fernando V. Gonzalez, age 51, entered into rest Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born March 31, 1967 in Del Rio, Texas. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Belinda M. Gonzalez; daughter: Cassandra Crystal Gonzalez (Salvador). Son; Christopher Gonzalez (Valerie); stepdaughters Anissa Jo Berreles and Jessica Reyna (David); Step-Sons: Freddy Gomez Jr. (Belinda) and Robert L. Gomez (Angel). Mother: Christina Alexander, Father Guadalupe Gonzalez (Margarita), Half-brother Angel Gonzalez. Sisters: Rosie Pe�a (Juan), and Alyzza Gonzalez (Michael). He is also lovingly survived by his grandchildren: Iris, and Israel Urzua, Step-grandchildren; Desiree, Aryssa, Aliyah, Rylee, Robert Jr., Aviana, Ezekiel Gomez, Catalina Reyna, Belinda, Analicia, Sara, and Marcos Torres, Jr. Fernando proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force for a combined 24 years. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology and a Master's Degree in Business from University of Phoenix. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm at the Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with a Prayer Service being held at 5:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at the Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leonardo Lopez officiating. Pallbearers will be Freddy Gomez, Jr., Lorie Morin, David Reyna, John Pe�a, Christopher Gonzalez and Salvador Urzua. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery with Full Military Honors conducted by the Laughlin Air Force Base Honor Guard.
