Obituary

Felix Venegas Martinez, 74, entered into rest on October 27, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on August 24, 1951, in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, Felix lived a life filled with music, laughter, and deep devotion to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Felix Venegas and Evangelina Martinez; his brother Arturo Venegas, his sisters Rosy Reyes and Romelia Castillo.

Felix was a man whose presence brought joy and warmth to those around him. He had a natural gift for music—singing with heart, playing instruments with passion, and writing songs as Fabian Llamas that reflected his vibrant spirit. Music was not just a hobby for Felix; it was a way of connecting with others and expressing the joy he found in everyday life.

At the heart of Felix's world was his beloved wife, Maria Luisa Venegas. Together they built a loving home and raised four children: Josue Venegas, Ricardo Venegas, Orlando Venegas, Maribel Venegas Casarez, eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was also beloved by his three brothers and five sisters. Reynaldo Venegas, Francisco Venegas, Eduardo Venegas, Yolanda Galarza, Odilia Palao, Angelica Guerrero, Martha Venegas and Sylvia Morales.

Felix took immense pride in his children's accomplishments—his face lighting up with every success they achieved, no matter how small. He celebrated their victories with genuine enthusiasm and never missed an opportunity to encourage them.

Felix had a playful soul and a boundless sense of humor. He was the kind of father who would invent silly games on the spot or share one of his signature 'dad jokes' just to hear his children laugh. He wasn't afraid to be goofy—getting down on the floor to play or leading impromptu sing-alongs featuring the funny songs he composed himself. These moments became cherished memories that defined his unique bond with his family.

Though he has passed from this world, Felix's legacy lives on through the melodies he created and the love he shared so freely. His joyful spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort and smiles to all who were touched by his life.
