Federico Benavides(Fred), of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on August 28, 2025. He was born in Mackay, Texas, on March 3, 1941.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Dolores, his siblings; Manuel Benavides, Jose Benavides, Juan Perez and Maria Correa.

He is survived by his wife, Juana Benavides and his daughter, Marisela Rosales (Roberto). Fred was also survived by his grandchildren; Roberto F. and Emma Rosales, his greatgrandchildren; Angel and Serena and his siblings; Alex, Minerva and Irma.

Fred worked for and retired from Symons Corporation after 33 years. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed the outdoors, western movies and music. He always looked forward to hanging out with his friends as they reminisced and shared their stories.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 415 S. Business IH-35, New Braunfels, Texas. A rosary will be held at 10:00 am at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, 245 S. Hidalgo Ave., New Braunfels, Texas.
