Evaristo "Scooby" Escobedo Jr, age 63, of Del Rio, TX, went home to be with the Lord on September 23, 2025.

Evaristo (Scooby) was a man of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering generosity. He believed in living his life with purpose—working hard, serving others, and walking humbly with God. Known by many for his willingness to help anyone in need, he truly reflected Christ's love through his actions. To his family, friends, and community, he was simply "the best man."

Born on 12/13/1961 in Del Rio, TX, Evaristo built a life rooted in faith and family. His loved ones will remember his kindness, his steady spirit, and the joy he found in giving more than he ever asked to receive.

He was preceded in death by his parents Evaristo & Esther Escobedo and brother Mario Escobedo. He is survived by his loving wife Belia Escobedo of 45 years. His daughters Erica (John) Christer, Nikki (Derek) Roberts, and son Joey Escobedo. Brothers Salvador (Sara) Escobedo, Felix (Leticia) Escobedo, Raul (Sylvia) Escobedo, Manuel (Blanca) Escobedo, Daniel Escobedo. Sisters Graciela (Joe) Castillo, Linda (Richard) Guzman, and Marta (Marvin) Denney. Granddaughters Zeena (Dylan) Berry, Brynn Escobedo, Darien Christer, Averi Christer and grandsons Rylen Roberts and Uriah Christer. Great grandchildren Jacob and Beckham Berry. Long time friend Tom Ramos; and many dear friends and extended family members who find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.

In keeping with Scooby's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. His family asks that those who knew him honor his life by extending kindness to others and holding fast to the faith he carried so dearly.

Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, service, and devotion to God will live on in all who knew him.
