Silva, 82, entered into rest on August 5, 2020. She was born to Santiago and Santos Zamora on October 21, 1937 in Uvalde, Texas. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Uvalde where she first met the love of her life, Joe G. Silva. They both graduated from Uvalde High School and went on to be married on December 29, 1961. Together they had three children and three grandchildren. She was a devout daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Esther lived her life with the values that her parents instilled in her by loving others and showing kindness to them. She lived her life through prayer and the faith that we are in this world but not of this world. She constantly prayed for the needs of others and found peace in her daily devotionals. Esther loved everyone and was loved by so many as well. She joined her husband, Joe G. Silva, her son, Joseph William Silva, her parents Santiago and Santos Zamora, her brothers James Zamora, Thomas Zamora and Gilbert Zamora, her in-laws Eleuterio and Bibiana Silva along with many other family and friends. She is survived by two children, Janice Silva-Aranda and Jim Silva (Fernanda Silva). She is also survived by grandson E.J. Aranda and granddaughters Erika Silva and Jimena Silva. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Uvalde, TX Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Uvalde, TX. Due to the current pandemic, funeral services are limited to family members ONLY.
