In Loving Memory

Esther Gutierrez, age 88, and a resident of Del Rio, Tx., passed away peacefully on October 29, 2022. Esther was born on March 30, 1934, in Jalisco, Mexico. Esther grew up in various places in Mexico and lived for many years in California until finally making Del Rio her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Serafin Gutierrez, and sons, Jose Luis Gutierrez, Guillermo Gutierrez and Serafin Gutierrez Jr. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Esperanza Ramirez, Juana Montanes, Gillermina Franco and Maria E. Ponce. Her sons Rodolfo Gutierrez, Jose Gutierrez, Ricardo Gutierrez, Jesus Gutierrez and Lupe Gutierrez. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren also survive her.

With minimal education Esther and Serafin migrated as Braceros in the 1950's and were granted residency in the state of California in 1960. Hard work was all they knew, not only were their jobs physically tough, but they also had to keep up with thirteen children at home. Esther always ran a tight ship at home up until the day they retired and relocated to Del Rio, Tx.

Esther enjoyed Bingo, Loteria, Novelas and most of all visits from her children and grandchildren. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a U.S. Citizen in 2017.

At the family's request, no services are currently scheduled but they will be held at a later date
