Esteban "Popo" Coronado, age 89, entered into rest on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Del Rio, Texas. He was born on January 29, 1934.

Esteban retired from the City of Del Rio where he worked as a master mechanic for 19 years. He loved working on vehicles and was known for stopping to assist anyone stranded on the side of the road. He loved watching sports on television and was an avid fan of Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune.

He was preceded in death his parents: Rodolfo and Rebecca Coronado; siblings: Oscar Coronado, Olga Coronado, Frank Coronado and Joe Coronado; his wife: Eglantina "Nina" Coronado; and his son: Rudy Coronado

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Sylvia Salazar and husband Jose Angel Salazar of Del Rio, TX, Velma Valdez and husband Rene Valdez of Del Rio, Alma Coronado of McKinney, Texas, brother Rudy Coronado of Rancho Mirage, California,

9 Grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Gentlemen with the Honor of Pallbearers are Joey Salazar, Ralph Salazar, Traci Lopez, Michael Valdez, Jason Valdez, and Salina Hernandez; Honorary Pallbearers are Justin Coy Roden, Amanda Ramos, Victoria Salazar.

The interment will follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
