Esperanza Santos Valdez, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2026, in Austin, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1955 in Cd. Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Amado Valdez, and son David Valdez.

She is survived by her son Walter Valdez, and her daughter Marcela Valdez; and her grandchildren Annabelle Valdez, Xavier Valdez, and Axel Zapata.

A visitation will be held on Sunday,  June 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 2020 N. Bedell Ave., Del Rio, Texas. Services will conclude at the end of the visitation.
