Esperanza Trevino, age 74, of New Braunfels, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2024, after a difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. Esperanza was born August 22, 1949, to parents Benito and Ofelia Castilleja. She is proceeded in death by her husband Ramon Trevino, Jr., parents; Benito and Ofelia Castilleja, sisters; Mary Helen Gomez, Dolores Gomez and brother, Benito Castilleja.She is survived by her sisters; Josie Velasquez, Paula Gomez, and children; Debbie Rodriguez (David), Miguel Castillo (Tina), Melissa Prieto (Frank), Roland Trevino (Shannon) and April Trevino (Hector), as well as her 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. You could always find Esperanza enjoying hallmark movies or spending time with her family, playing bingo and cards. She loved her family with all her heart. She was loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park at 11:30 am.
