Esperanza E. Leija, age 82, entered into rest on Friday, November 2, 2018 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born on March 22, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband Simon Leija. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Hortencia Arizpe (Cesar), Lydia DeBruhl (Paul Magnon), and Leticia Leija-Fuentes (JR "Ubaldo"); Sons: Simon Leija Jr. (Guadalupe), Javier Leija (Aracely), Joe Leija (Celia), and Seferino Leija (Mary Ann). She is also survived by 5 brothers: Alejandro, Salvador, Enrique, Oscar, and Saul Elias; 1 sister: Antonia Medina, 20 grandchildren, and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
