Enedelia Garcia Arteaga, age 85, of Del Rio, Texas, peacefully passed surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 5, 1941, in Ciudad Acuna to Theodoro and Juanita Garcia.

Enedelia was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose life centered around her family. She shared 70 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Margarito O. Arteaga Sr., creating a legacy of love, strength, and unity that will continue for generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodoro and Juanita Garcia, along with numerous brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Margarito O. Arteaga Sr.; her children, Juanita Castenada and husband Mario Castenada, Margarito G. Arteaga Jr. and wife Alma Arteaga, and Jorge Luis Arteaga and wife Rosa Arteaga.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Amanda Arteaga, Armando Arteaga, Alberto Arteaga, Alex Arteaga, Mario Castaneda, Michael Castaneda, Jorge Luis Arteaga Jr., and Amy Jo Arteaga; along with 13 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

Enedelia will be remembered for her kindness, dedication to her family, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her. Her presence, wisdom, and warm heart will be deeply missed but forever treasured by all who knew her.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 509 W. Garza St., Del Rio, Texas

Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 5144 HWY 90 East, Del Rio, Texas
