Emilia C. Martinez May 9, 1925 July 14, 2012 Emilia C. Martinez a lifelong member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church peacefully joined the Lord on July 14, 2012 at the age of 87. Emilia was born May 9, 1925 in New Braunfels, Texas to the late Jose Maria and Rosita Cirilo and raised in Del Rio, Texas. Emilia was married to the late Maximo Martinez her lifelong husband since 1940 and resided in Del Rio, Texas, where they raised 11 children. Emilia is preceded in death by her son Maximo Martinez Jr., daughter Maria Angelita Levario, son-in-laws Joe Garcia and Manuel Orosco. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Angel C. Martinez and wife Alma of San Antonio, Texas, Vicente Martinez and wife Elia of Muscatine Iowa, Jose Maria Martinez and wife Dolores of Del Rio, Texas, Felipe J. Martinez of Del Rio, Texas, Juan M. Martinez and wife Linda of Garden City, Texas, Martin C. Martinez and wife Laura of Del Rio, Texas, daughters Eufemia M. Garcia of Del Rio, Texas, Guadalupe Rodriguez and husband Armando of Garden City, Texas, Rafaela Orosco of Herford, Texas and daughter in law Maria Martinez of Del Rio, Texas. Emilia will be greatly missed by her forty grandchildren, seventy-two great grandchildren, and numerous great, great grandchildren. Visitations are arranged for Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. The desire wish will be at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at Chapel of Remembrance. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Felipe Cemetery.
