Elsa P. Gutierrez, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and cherished friend passed away at the age of 70 on December 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by her daughter Elizabeth and her granddaughters Emily Saphira Pope and Erin Isabel Pope. She was born in Del Rio, Texas on February 22, 1954.

She was a proud mother of a daughter Elizabeth G. Pope (Dan Pope) and son George R. Esquivel, and grandchildren Emily Saphira Pope and Erin Isabel Pope.

Elsa is survived by her siblings Maximo Perales, Yolanda Perales, and Rolando Perales.

Elsa was a woman of strong faith. She was kind, generous, loving, friendly and most all, she had a willful spirit. She loved cooking, gardening, shopping and was a pet lover.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM; chapel service at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
