Ellen L. Cobine of Del Rio Texas passed away peacefully August 30, 2024

Ellen was born in Bangor Maine December 5, 1938. Her life truly began when she married the love of her life Lawrence (Larry) Cobine. The joy continued with each child born – 7! (Thomas, Mary, Bridget, Thersa (Tessy), Timothy, Michele and Angela). Larry was a member with the USAF. Their travels included Maine, Michigan, France and ending in Del Rio Texas. Ellen enjoyed card games; Poker, Pinochle, Bridge and many hands of Gin Rummy, which we were rarely able to win a hand at! While in Del Rio Ellen found the love of camping, canoeing and fishing as often as possible on Lake Amistad with family and friends. That and some good country music! Following their 34 years of marriage and Larry's passing Ellen was fortunate to have continued with some travels. San Antonio, TX, Charleston, SC, McKinney, TX and Millington TN, and the many side road trips Ellen was always eager to experience; Houston TX, Des Moines IA and Davenport IA. Ellen enjoyed reading, crocheting, site seeing, eating out and shopping for shoes and clothes (most of which children or grandchildren were happy to help her with)!

Ellen had been blessed with 16 grand-kids, 20 Great grandchildren with just one more on the way in November! Ellen had advice and plenty of hugs for each and every child in her life. Most often shared over a beer and laughter – all of which will be remember and truly missed!

Funeral with Family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please think of making a donation to Ellen's favorite charity; St. Jude.
