Elias made his grand entrance to his Heavenly Home September 14, 2022 at the age of 96. He died peacefully, in his sleep, in Santa Clara, California. He was born in Marathon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife Maria M. Salas, sons - Ruben, Elias, Guillermo, Juan, daughter, Irene Ellyson, parents, Francisco, Irene, Son-in-law Jack Castillo and brother Epifanio.

Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Bertha Castillo, Elizabeth Segura/Arturo, Mary Magallanes/Hector, Connie Crawford/Brian, Rosie Simmons/Charles, sons, Dionicio/Norma, Abel/Debbie, Adam/Lisa and sisters Flor Oralia Salas Chavez/Samuel & Enedina Salas Reyna/Juan.

His grandchildren - Alfredo, Ruben Jr., David, Daniel & Lilly, Patti, Isabel & Elizabeth, Angela Rae & Andi Rachelle, Jessica & Michael, Brenda & Myra, Mellisa Coreen, Dionicio Rosalio, & Jennifer Nicole, Cassandra & Tommy, Abel-Arron, & Alexander, John Jacob, Debbie, Andrew, Nicolas & Stephen; and to date; ~34 great-grandchildren survive him.

Elias lived to be an example of what it was to be a hard worker, follow Godly principals and was a great provider for his family. He retired from Union Texas Petroleum a Division of Allied Chemicals in December 1987.

Chapel gathering & memory sharing will be at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM; chapel gathering will continue on Saturday, April 22, 2023 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the interment will follow with a procession to Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery for a Graveside Service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
