Elena P. Galvan of New Braunfels passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 83. She was born on March 21, 1934 in Cameron, Texas to Apolonia Ubando. She was preceded in death by her husband Madaleno Galvan, Sr., mother Apolonia Martinez, brothers and sisters Mucio Martinez, Israel Martinez, Evaristo Palacios, Rebecca Juarez and Isabel Cantu. She is survived by her son Mike Galvan, Jr. his wife Esther; Daughters Elaine Galvan, Debbie Galvan and Valerio, Norma Espinosa her husband Tom, Paula Valadez, Monica Galvan, Veronica Galvan; Sisters Epifania Obregon, Elvira Palacios; as well as 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 5 PM to 9 PM at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10 AM with Pastor Pete Arciniega officiating at Sunset Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Comal Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Frank Valadez, John Valadez, Mike Galvan III, Mark Galvan, Juan Sobrevilla and James Sobrevilla. Honorary pallbearers will be Juliann Sobrevilla and Fabian Galvan.
